Gods and Legends | June 8-12
Unleash your inner deity — or your most fearsome beast — as we dive into the myths, legends, and creatures that have captured human imagination for millennia!
The morning session will be focused on theatre-making. We'll explore:
Acting games and exercises that build characters from the ground up — who are your gods? How do your monsters move and how many actors does it take to create one?
Scene creation and world-building inspired by mythology from cultures around the globe.
The afternoon session will take place at our friends' studio, Staunton Clayground, where campers will bring their mythological worlds to life through hands-on making:
Hand-build your own custom mug — memorable, functional, and worthy of a god's table.
Sculpt a fantastical menagerie of creatures from your imagination.
The Fates were the original knitters — and now it's your turn. Learn to knit with working professional artists and finish the week with a completed set of wrist warmers and a hat.
Paint-your-own-pottery to close out the week in color.
Other stuff you need to know:
Instructors: Jeremy West (morning) | Staunton Clayground staff (afternoon)
