Myths and Monsters | June 29-July 3
Heroes, tricksters, sea serpents, and storm gods — the world's mythologies are full of characters more wild and wonderful than anything we could invent. This week we bring them to life through theatre, dance, and arts & crafts.
The morning session will be focused on theatre-making with Charlotte and Jeremy. We'll explore:
Acting games and exercises that build characters from the ground up — heroes, tricksters, and beasts of every kind. How do your monsters move, and how many actors does it take to create one?
Story creation and world-building inspired by mythology from cultures around the globe.
The afternoon session will be focused on dance. We'll explore:
Movement and choreography inspired by the gods, monsters, and mythological worlds of our stories.
How dance tells a story without words.
