Acting for Film Workshop

Ready for your close-up? Join us for a two-hour intro to acting for film workshop for students age 16+ who want experience in front of the camera and/or who want to practice acting on film.

When: Sunday, Nov. 8 from 3-5 p.m
Where: Silver Line Theatre Exchange, 211 N Lewis St.
Who: Instructor Zach Laliberte of Emmy-award winning production studio Deep Structure Productions and director of improv program at SLTE

Who it’s for:

• Any actors who have always wondered what happens on a film set

• Stage actors curious how the work changes when the camera is two feet from your face

• Anyone who wants to feel confident saying “I’m hitting my mark.” 

Here’s what we’ll get into:

• Hit your mark, find your eyeline, and stay in the shot

• Scale your performance for the lens

• Learn set lingo

• Run scenes on camera and watch yourself back

• Walk out with a real sense of how a shoot works
